After imposing travel ban | Bab al-Hawa crossing closes to non-critical medical cases

The administration of Bab al-Hawa border crossing with Turkey has announced the closure of the crossing to and from Turkey, from Tuesday and lasting for a full week, to the movement of patients with non-critical cases. The crossing is open to commercial traffic and aid trucks, it said.

On Saturday, the administration announced the closure of the crossing to passenger traffic, while continuing with commercial traffic and the passage of relief trucks.

The Security Council had adopted a majority resolution to extend humanitarian access for one year from Bab al-Hawa crossing in Idlib.

On July 9, SOHR sources reported that the hospital of Bab al-Hawa completely closed after it was confirmed that a doctor working at the hospital was infected with the novel coronavirus.

According to Observatory sources, the doctor arrived from Turkey a few days ago.

Meanwhile, the administration of Bab al-Hawa Hospital announced the closure of the hospital in addition to a series of procedures, preventing in and out of the hospital for any reason. Also, quarantine the patients and their escorts, and full quarantine of doctors’ residences, including workers.
