Coronavirus | Number of confirmed cases rises to five of medical crews in Idlib and Aleppo, and Directorate of Health in Idlib prohibits circulation and publication of infected people’s names

Medical sources say that a new coronavirus case was confirmed in Idlib province, as the tests results confirmed the infection of a medical staff “medical care provider” in the city of Azaz, north of Aleppo.

Since July 9 to date, the number of confirmed cases jumped to five medical staff, three doctors, a nurse and a medical service provider.

The Health Directorate in Idlib issued a circular to all health workers, prohibiting the circulation or publication of the names of infected people with the virus under liability.

Residents of north-western Syria fear the spread of the pandemic in the absence of of government agencies and authorities’ role which control the areas.

The areas held by opposition factions in north-western Syria are experiencing a severe shortage of medical supplies and measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
