Landmine attacks | Explosion targets the Turkish-Russian joint patrol on M4, injuring many Russian soldiers

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the injury of three Russian soldiers due to the explosion of a high-explosive landmine, while the Turkish-Russian joint patrol was passing on the M4 highway near Musaybin. The injured soldiers were taken in Turkish vehicles to hospitals. This explosion hit the patrol, despite the intensive sweeping operations by Turkish forces in the past 24 hours.

SOHR sources have just reported that Turkish and Russian forces were seen running a new patrol on Latakia- Aleppo international highway (M4). The patrol set off from Trenbeh village in the eastern countryside of Idlib to Ain Hoor village in the northern countryside of Latakia.

Ain Hoor village is the last stop on the highway in rebels-held areas. Accordingly, the 21st joint patrol accomplished one of the terms of the Russian-Turkish agreement struck on March 5, regarding patrolling the entire M4 highway.
