Aerial attacks escalation | Russian jets step up airstrikes on Kabana, while other airstrikes hit southern Idlib

Russian jets are continuing their strikes on the hills of Kabana in Jabal Al-Akrad, bringing the number of today’s airstrikes to 12. The Russian jets also expanded the scope of bombardment, targeting places in Bayanin village in Jabal Al-Zawiyah.

Meanwhile, villages and towns in the southern countryside are under intensive rocket attacks by regime forces. No casualties have been reported yet.

SOHR sources reported hours ago, that Russian jets executed several airstrikes just before noon, targeting areas in Kabana hills in Jabal Al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia, along with regime rocket attacks on the same areas. No casualties were reported.

This development comes after the injury of three Russian soldiers due to the explosion of a high-explosive landmine, while the Turkish-Russian joint patrol was passing on the M4 highway near Musaybin. The injured soldiers were taken in Turkish vehicles to hospitals. This explosion hit the patrol, despite the intensive sweeping operations by Turkish forces in the past 24 hours.
