Turkish-backed factions’ atrocities | Civilian with special needs dies in “Al-Hamzat Division” prison in Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kaniye)

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of a young man with special needs in a prison of the Turkish-backed division of “Al-Hamzat”. The victim had been arrested in late 2019 when he was with his mother checking their house in Al-Mahattah neighbourhood in Ras Al-Ain city in the areas of “Peace Spring”.

On July 9, SOHR sources said that Turkish-backed militiamen blocked the way of a resident from Al-Kantari village in rural Tal Abyad in northern Raqqa a few days earlier. The gunmen stole the resident’s money estimated at 4 million Syrian pounds, and then shot him injuring him seriously, which caused his death a few hours later.
