First case in Al-Bab | Turkish doctor confirmed infected with the novel coronavirus

Medical sources in areas under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions in Aleppo countryside, have informed the Syrian Observatory that a Turkish doctor working in a hospital in Al-Bab city, north-eastern Aleppo, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus pandemic. Accordingly, the number of infected cases with (COVID-19) have risen to 13 since July 9, among them there are six cases in the medical staffs including four doctors one of them is Turkish.

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that the administration of “Al-Ghazzawiyah” and “Deir Ballout” crossings decided to close them for civilians, military personnel have been exempted, from Friday July 17 until further notice, as a part of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

 

The decree was issued by Al-Sham Corps, which controls these crossings. Meanwhile, a new coronavirus case was detected, in addition to the six cases which were documented by SOHR activists during the previous 48 hours.
