After their arrest and deleting videotapes | “Al-Sham Corps” releases two activists covering closure of crossings with Afrin on media

SOHR sources say that “Al-Sham Corps” released two media activists hours after they were arrested near Deir Balot checkpoint near the Turkish military base, while covering the closure of crossings with the Afrin area without prior authorization and coordination with the controlling factions there.

The Corps’ members released them after the videotapes were deleted.

The administration of “Al-Ghazwa” and “Deir Balot” crossings decided to close their doors to civilians except the military personnel, starting from Friday morning, July 17, until further notice, due to preventive measures on tackling the spread of the coronavirus.

The decision was issued by “al-Sham corps” faction, which controls the crossings with Turkish forces from the Turkish-backed faction areas.
