Abuse of power | SDF members insult and humiliate civilians, as security campaign still underway in eastern Deir Ezzor

SOHR sources have reported that SDF members patrolling Al-Busayrah city in eastern Deir Ezzor have cursed and verbally abused several residents. SDF members ordered the residents to get back to their houses and to comply with the imposed curfew, describing the city’s locals as “animals”.

 

On the other hand, SDF arrested the “Mukhtar” of Al-Zarr village and a one of the prominent dignitaries in Al-Bo-ezz Al-Din tribe. SDF security group cursed and insulted the village’s “Mukhtar” while arresting him.

 

SOHR sources had reported that SDF members brutally beaten a teacher in Al-Busayrah city in the east of Deir Ezzor. The teacher was released today nearly 24 hours after being arrested.

 

Meanwhile, SDF arrested five civilians in Al-Shuhayl town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor for unknown reasons.

 

SDF security campaign has been underway since it was started in the SDF-controlled areas in Deir Ezzor countryside.
