IED attacks | Unknown assailants target column of security forces in Daraa countryside

SOHR sources say that unknown assailants targeted with an IED a joint convoy of Air-Force and Military Intelligence branches on the road between al-Sawara town and al-Hirak, while returning from the town of Nahta in the eastern rural Dara. No casualties have been reported.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from past June to date, to more than 573 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 380 persons, 103 of whom are civilians, including 12 women and 11 children, in addition to 179 regime soldiers, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

57 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 19 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to 19 members of so-called “Fifth Corps”.
