HTS | “We expect regime forces to launch military operation at any moment, and we will not accept the current situation until Al-Assad government is toppled”
Syria’s largest jihadist faction, Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS), said it expects regime forces and loyalists to start military operation in Jabal Al-Zawiya in the southern sector of Idlib province, at any moment, as regime forces are still bringing in more military reinforcement to the Idlib countryside frontlines, according to the military spokesman of HTS, who stated:
“All the rumors about the withdrawal of occupation militias and Al-Assad’s gangs to the areas stipulated in Astana agreement, are nothing but media propaganda and psychological warfare which aimed at demoralizing us. The enemy today seeks to capture the areas controlled by Al-mujahedeen, so we must be vigilant and prepared for his plans.
Our battle with the enemy and its allies is not over yet, it is still going on, but it has shifted to another form, and we will not accept the current situation until the toppling of Al-Assad’s puppet government and the dismantling of its regime. However, today’s phase is a stage of preparation for the next stages and what is taken by force is not recovered except by jihad.
There are a lot of parties which have an interest in targeting patrols, but in the leadership of the HTS, we believe that these actions will accelerate the upcoming battle in the southern region of Idlib, so we chose to buy time to prepare the liberated areas for the next campaign.
Since the beginning of the alleged ceasefire, the provocation and targeting of our people in Jabal al-Zawya, Jabal Al-Arbaeen, Kabyna and the western Aleppo countryside have not stopped. This is not new for our enemy, and treachery and deception are its traits.
By monitoring the military scene of the Russian occupiers and their associates, many troops were seen on the outskirts of Jabal Zawiya, Al-Arbaeen, Saraqeb and Kabyna frontlines.The enemy has repaired its weapons and camouflage attempts to hide the weapons, and we expect it to start military operation at any moment.
Military preparations are ongoing by HTS in order to direct the energies and capabilities in the right direction to achieve the highest effectiveness, so the major factions of the liberated areas agreed to form the operation rooms of “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” to reach this goal. A military command was chosen for this room, who were known for their experience and military skill throughout the years of the revolution, and the roles were distributed to everyone in a way that ensured the participation of all. The opportunities for coordination with the room are still exist. As for the formation of factions, and after 9 years of revolution, we must all unite and integrate not split the row and form different groups.
The joint sessions between the components of “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” that are constantly working towards raising the level of coordination and overcoming any defects. A leadership council of the room has been formed to redirect the energies and follow the fronts and we have no doubt that the level of work that took place during the recent battles was higher than any previous one and we are still striving to do better, God willing.
The Russian occupiers have brought in all their mercenaries to the outskirts of the liberated areas, and no doubt they did not came for a walk, but they are waiting for the right opportunity to take military action, and they have tried several infiltration attempts that have been repelled and suffered losses of equipment and lives, and we are still following their movements and targeting some of them at the right opportunity.
The enemy is renewing its tactics, and we are closely following what it is doing, and we are retraining our forces to overcome the potential difficulties ahead, and we are working to avoid the mistakes we made in the last campaign.
As of working in traditional form, it’s not accurate as each battle has its own tactics and its method, and these tactics are closely linked to the tools and possibilities available for field commanders, and sometimes the form of battle imposes some kind of tactic on the military commander.
The “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” has not stopped preparing for any upcoming campaign, as the work of fortification, preparation and development continues to make the liberated areas an impregnable fortress which resists the Russian occupiers’ assaults, God willing.”
The military spokesman concluded by saying: “We recommend our Muslim parents in general, and those who live in the liberated areas especially to pray for mujahideen, the mujahideen are the hope after Allah almighty in protecting the Muslims here. We have made a promise to God that we will not lay down our arms and we will not believe the false and deceptive negotiations that the Russian occupier is trying to convince Muslims and mujahideen with, and remind them that the land is for God to be inherited from his servants and the consequences for the believers.”
