Afrin | Factions prohibit movement from Afrin to Idlib except under travel permit given by Jendres’ local council

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that the factions controlling the Afrin area in the north-western Aleppo countryside, issued a decree prohibiting movement from Afrin to Idlib, except under the “travel permit” obtained by the Jendres’ local council.

It is worth nothing that the administration of “Al-Ghazwa” and “Deir Balot” crossings decided to close their doors to civilians except the military personnel, starting from Friday morning, July 17, until further notice, due to preventive measures on tackling the spread of the coronavirus.

The “Salvation Government” had issued a circular including several precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus in areas under its control. The precautionary measures included the following:

  • The prohibition of gatherings.

  • The closure of pools.

  • Work of restaurants to be limited to delivery service only.

  • The closure of funfairs, private and public parks.

  • The suspension of all activities in sports halls and stadiums.

The “Salvation Government” also emphasized that people have to adopt the utmost levels of precautionary measures of protection and putting on face masks.
