Afrin | Turkish-backed factions misuse public property, constructing residential buildings and shops in vital areas

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that the factions of “Sultan Murad” and the “Northern Brigade” are constructing buildings and shops near the stadium in the city of Afrin to rent them for their own benefits and seize them later. These factions continue excavation and construction works in these vital places which belong to the public.

Reliable sources had informed the Syrian Observatory that “Al-Hamzat Division” has been stalling negotiations with dignitaries from Damascus and Rif Dimashq concerning the case of the displaced young man from eastern Ghouta, who was killed by members of the division nearly two months ago.

The Turkish-backed division has neither paid ransom to the victim’s relatives nor complied with the agreement with the dignitaries, one of its terms stipulates for arresting the perpetrators.
