Al-Quneitra | Violent explosions near the Syrian Golan, and regime air defence intercept unknown targets
Violent explosions rocked the northern countryside of Al-Quneitra near the occupied Syrian Golan this morning. No farther details were reported about the circumstances and nature of the explosions. Meanwhile, the Syrian regime’s air defence systems were seen intercepting unknown “hostile” targets, but no casualties have been reported yet.
On July 21, Observatory activists documented several fatalities in the Israeli strikes on southern and south-western Damascus in the previous night. Five Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen were killed and four others injured, but it is not known whether the fatalities and casualties were of Iranian nationality or affiliates of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
Moreover, seven members of the regime’s “air-defence forces” were injured, two seriously. Meanwhile, a missiles depot was destroyed as the Israeli strikes hit positions, weapons and ammunition warehouses in southern and south-western Damascus.
