Israeli attacks | Helicopters target military position of Iranian-backed militias in Al-Quneitra countryside
SOHR activists say that loud explosions were heard this evening, as a result of shelling by Israeli helicopters targeting a military position belonging to the regime forces and Iranian-backed militias near the town of Hadar in Al-Quneitra countryside, setting the site on fire.
SOHR sources reported earlier this morning that violent explosions rocked the northern countryside of Al-Quneitra near the occupied Syrian Golan this morning. Meanwhile, the Syrian regime’s air defence systems were seen intercepting unknown “hostile” targets, but no casualties have been reported yet.
On July 21, Observatory activists documented several fatalities in the Israeli strikes on southern and south-western Damascus in the previous night. Five Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen were killed and four others injured, but it is not known whether the fatalities and casualties were of Iranian nationality or affiliates of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
