Israeli attacks | Strikes on Al-Quneitra injure several people, and the number of fatalities in earlier strikes on Damascus rises to eight
The recent strikes by Israel on Al-Quneitra countryside near the border with the Syrian Golan injured four persons, including two regime soldiers, while the identities of the two other fatalities are not known if they belong to Hezbollah-backed militiamen or non-Syrians loyal to regime forces. SOHR sources reported last night that Israeli helicopters struck regime positions in Hodr area in northern Al-Quneitra.
On the other hand, SOHR activists have documented a spike in the number of fatalities who were killed in the Israeli bombardment on the outskirts and countryside of Damascus on July 21. Accordingly, the number of fatalities has risen to eight (all of them Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen) who were killed in Israeli strikes on Tuesday which hit positions, weapons and ammunition warehouses in southern and south-western Damascus. The death toll is expected to rise because of the serious injuries of some casualties.
It is worth noting that seven members of the regime’s “air-defence forces” were injured on that day, two seriously.
