Afrin | Residents from village in Sherawa area form delegation to demand return to their village in countryside, while Turkish governor refuses to meet them

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that the residents of the village of Basleh in the area of Shirawa in rural Afrin, north-west of Aleppo, formed a delegation of several people heading to the headquarters of governor of Afrin assigned by the Turkish forces.

The delegation was formed to meet the governor and to demand return to their homes in the village of Basla, which is abandoned by their inhabitants and controlled by the Turkish-backed “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” faction, after it completely looted the homes of citizens. However, the Turkish governor refused to meet with the delegation of the residents.

It is worth nothing that the village has been completely emptied of its citizens since the beginning of the military operation “Olive Branch”, after Ankara-backed factions took control of it.
