Including high-ranking regime officer | 16 regime soldiers killed or injured in clashes, shelling and landmine explosion on frontlines of Idlib countryside

The Syrian Observatory has monitored this evening artillery shelling by factions operating in Idlib countryside, targeting the positions and gatherings of regime forces in the city of Ma’rat al-Numan and countryside.

Meanwhile, regime forces have shelled factions’ positions in Jabal al-Akrad, north of Latakia. No casualties have been reported yet.

The Syrian Observatory has documented the death of a high-ranking regime officer and two other soldiers, in addition to the wounding of three others this afternoon, as a landmine exploded on the frontline of the village of Al-Rawiha in Jabal al-Zawiya, south of Idlib, while trying to infiltrate into advanced positions.

On the other hand, clashes with medium and heavy weapons took place between members of HTS and regime forces on several frontlines in Jabal al-Zawiya. The clashes left four regime soldiers dead and six others injured, some seriously.

Regime forces targeted with heavy artillery HTS positions on the frontline of the village of Al-Ruwayha, killing one HTS member and wounding another.

Syrian Observatory sources have reported earlier that regime forces renewed rocket attacks on towns and villages in southern Idlib countryside, targeting places in Qouqfin, Kafr Aweid, Ain Larouz, Al-Fterah, Kansafra, Sfuhen and Fulayfel and other places in the area.
