Al-Baguz | Security tension and SDF put on high alert, following the injury of armed young man in the town

The Syrian Observatory has monitored this evening a security tension in the town of Al-Baguz in countryside of Deir ez-Zor, between members of SDF and a family from the town, as SDF members attacked an armed young man who refused to stop and turn himself in, injuring him. Meanwhile, SDF was put on high alert in anticipation of the residents’ reaction.

Moreover, gunmen opened fire on a SDF military patrol in the al-Nassif neighbourhood in the town, causing material damage.

In the meantime, SDF besieged al-Nassif neighbourhood bringing in about 200 members to arrest youths from the neighbourhood.

SDF members stationed on the banks of the Euphrates River in the town of Al-Shuhayl, east of Deir ez-Zor, fired at a smuggler in the area as he tried to smuggle people across the river, injuring a civilian in indiscriminate gunfire.
