“De-escalation zone” | Regime ground forces start new round of bombardment on southern Idlib

SOHR activists have monitored tense calm prevailing in the “de-escalation zone” since midnight. The tense calm was interrupted this morning by regime rocket fire on places in Al-Fterah, Kansafra, Sfuhen, Fulayfel, Al-Hallouba and other areas in the southern countryside of Idlib. No casualties have been reported.

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the death of a high-ranking regime officer and two other soldiers, in addition to the injury of three others in a landmine explosion on the frontline of Al-Ruwiyha village in Jabal al-Zawiyah, south of Idlib, while regime forces were infiltrating into advanced positions.

On the other hand, clashes with medium and heavy weapons took place between HTS and regime forces on several frontlines in Jabal al-Zawiyah. The clashes left four regime soldiers dead and six others injured, some seriously.
