Turkish-backed factions’ violations | “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” kidnaps young man from Afrin, forcing him to pay $6,000 ransom for his release
SOHR sources say that members of the Turkish-backed “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” kidnapped a young man from Afrin three days ago from his workplace in the town of Afrin, north of Aleppo. The factions’ members accused him of seizing a shop previously belonging to the “Self-Administration”.
The young man was released by the faction after paying a ransom of about $6,000.
On July 24, reliable sources informed the Syrian observatory that gunmen of the Turkish-backed “Al-Hamzat Division” looted several civilian houses in “Qadda” village of Raju district in Afrin countryside, north-west of Aleppo.
This action comes as a part of ongoing restriction on people of Afrin to force them to leave the area.
According to Observatory sources, “Suleiman Shah” faction, known as “Al-Amshat”, forced residents of the village of Yakhor (Kakhra) in Ma’abatli district in rural Afrin to leave their homes, placing them in makeshift camps on the northern outskirts of the village.
