Tal Abyad | Turkish forces and proxy factions shell village in countryside
SOHR sources say that Turkish forces and proxy factions shelled the village of Salib Qaran in countryside of Tal Abyad in northern A-Raqqa province. No casualties have been reported yet.
Meanwhile, a Russian jet flew over Ain al-Arab (Kobane), coinciding with the flight of Russian reconnaissance drones over the same area.
On 1st August, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored artillery shelling by Turkish forces and their proxy factions, targeting the vicinity of the city of Ain Issa, north of Raqqa, injuring three children.
On July 22, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of a civilian after being targeted by unidentified sniper in the western countryside of Ain Issa, on the frontlines between the areas held by SDF and regime forces on the one hand, and areas held by Ankara-backed factions on the other.
