Responding to repeated violations in “de-escalation zone” | Rebels target regime forces and loyalists in Idlib and Latakia countryside

SOHR activists say that the factions of “Al-Fath al-Mubin” operations room targeted heavy weapons belonging to regime forces near Kafranbel in Idlib countryside.

Meanwhile, the jihadist Ansar al-Tawhid faction targeted Al-Zaytoun camp near the town of Kafranbel, where regime forces and Russian-backed militants are stationed.

Jihadist factions also shelled with mortars the concentrations of regime forces and loyalists at al-Burkan checkpoint in Jabal al-Akrad, north of Latakia.

This comes as part of the factions’ response to violations by regime forces and their repeated shelling of the “de-escalation zone”.

On the other hand, regime forces shelled the outskirts of Deir Sanbel town in Idlib countryside and other frontlines in Jabal al-Zawiya. No casualties have been reported so far.

Regime forces fired several rockets this morning, targeting areas in Kansafra, Al-Faterah, Al-Mawzara and other areas in Jabal Al-Zawiyah. Meanwhile, opposition factions shelled regime positions in Kafr Nubl and Hantotin in the southern countryside of Idlib.

SOHR activists have documented the killing of a fighter of “Suqur Al-Sham” due to regime artillery fire on Bayanin frontlines in southern Idlib. Moreover, opposition factions shot down a reconnaissance drone in Maarbalit in rural Idlib.
