“De-escalation zone” | Intensive firepower paves the way for new regime attack on Al-Haddadah

SOHR sources have monitored intensive rocket attacks by regime forces this morning on areas in Jabal Al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia, paving the way for a fresh attack by regime forces on Al-Haddadah frontlines. Fierce clashes are underway between regime forces on one hand, and opposition factions and jihadi groups on the other.

On the other hand, regime forces shelled Al-Zayyara town in western Hama, Al-Ruwayha, the outskirts of Al-Bara, and Kansafra in the southern countryside of Idlib.

Yesterday, SOHR activists monitored military columns of regime forces and loyalists, heading from the eastern Idlib countryside and south-western Aleppo, to new positions near Kafranbel and Jabal al-Zawiya area in southern Idlib countryside. The arrival of reinforcement to new position coincided with sporadic clashes on several frontlines in south Idlib countryside.

Meanwhile, rebel factions destroyed a fuel tank belonging to regime forces with a guided missile, on Al-Mashari’a frontline in the western countryside of Hama.
