Joint patrols | Russian and Turkish forces tour areas in rural Al-Hasakah

Syrian Observatory sources say that Russian and Turkish forces have conducted a new joint patrol in Al-Hasakah countryside. A patrol of four Russian vehicles and four Turkish others set off from Sherik crossing on Turkey border in west Al-Darbasiyyah countryside and headed to Kasra.

The patrol headed later to the frontlines separating the rebel-held areas from areas under the control of regime forces and SDF in Northern Abu Rasin (Zarkan), then the patrol took the same way back.

On the other hand, Russian soldiers attempted to prevent activists from getting close to the patrol or photographing the vehicles, but the soldiers received ordered not to do so.

On July 27, SOHR activists monitored Russian and Turkish forces running a new joint patrol in Aleppo countryside. The patrol, escorted by Russian helicopters, roamed villages in the western countryside of Ain al-Arab (Kobani).

According to Observatory sources, several young people and children blocked the patrol, but Russian soldiers intervened and reopened the road, then the young people and children pelted the patrol with stones.
