Second attack in 48 hours | Clashes renew between ISIS cells and regime forces in east Hama desert

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored fierce clashes with heavy and medium machineguns nearby Juay’ed village in Hama desert, between regime forces and “National Defence Forces” (NDF) on one hand, and unknown groups but believed to be ISIS cells on the other.

No casualties have been reported.

These clashes come 48 hours after similar ones in the same countryside, as SOHR sources reported on August 4 that fierce clashes with machineguns, erupted between the regime-backed “National Defence Forces” (NDF) and unknown gunmen, but believed to be ISIS members, in Jib Abyad village in the eastern countryside of Hama.

According to SOHR sources, the clashes came in the wake of kidnapping four persons from Abu Laffah village in the same countryside. One of the kidnapped managed to escape and informed the NDF of the place and location where the rest of kidnapping people were being held.
