Iran intervention in Syria | “Fatemiyoun” militia sweeps the vicinity of Al-Mayadeen and Al-Bokamal

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that the Iranian-backed militia of “Fatemiyoun” started to sweep the desert from Al-Mayadeen and Al-Bokamal cities in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. A column of 120 vehicles affiliated to “Fatemiyoun” carrying hundreds of militiamen, mostly of Afghani nationality with some local militiamen, started to sweep the desert searching for ISIS cells.

On July 28, reliable SOHR sources confirmed that the Iraqi Hezbollah deployed troops in Al-Mayadeen desert in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. Groups of the Iraqi Hezbollah militiamen in military vehicles deployed in Al-Khour and Al-Tayarat areas nearly 20 km into Al-Mayadeen desert. According to SOHR sources, the Iraqi Hezbollah militias set up prefabricated cement rooms in the areas where they were deployed, in addition to erecting soil barriers around these rooms.
