Turkey’s military build-up | Turkish army sends in new reinforcement to “de-escalation zone”, as troops move towards Al-Nabi Ayoub hill

Turkish army continues strengthening its military posts in the “Putin-Erdogan” area, as two military columns entered Idlib countryside this evening to support military posts in the region.

The two columns consist of about 50 vehicles, including trucks and armoured vehicles, carrying tanks, heavy weapons and ammunition.

The Syrian Observatory has also monitored Turkish troops moving towards the Turkish military post at Al-Nabi Ayoub hill in Jabal al-Zawiya, which overlooks Sahl Al-Ghab.

The number of military vehicles entered Syrian territory since the start of the new ceasefire has reached 5,200 in addition to thousands of Turkish soldiers.

From February 2 to date, the number of Trucks and military vehicles that arrived in “de-escalation zone” rose to more than 8,535 Turkish trucks and military vehicles arrived in Syrian territory, carrying tanks, personnel carriers, armored vehicles and mobile bulletproof guard booths and military radars. While over 11,500 Turkish soldiers deployed in Idlib and Aleppo during this period.
