North of Idlib | Two persons killed in armed attack, one of whom HTS member

Idlib Province- Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle killed two people, one of whom is a HTS member from the village of “Talada” in the northern Idlib countryside. The gunmen opened fire on them in front of a house in the village.

On July 26, security forces of Tahrir Al-Sham carried out raids in the village and arrested a number of kidnapping gangs.

The number of people who have been killed in the countryside of Idlib, Aleppo, Hama and Latakia since the 26th of April 2018, as the security chaos escalated in the province, rose to 657. The fatalities are broken down as follows:

  • A fighter in Turkistan Islamic Party.
  • The wife of an Uzbek commander and another child was with her.
  • The attorney-general of the Ministry of Justice of the “Salvation Government”.
  • 187 civilians, including 23 children.
