​​​​​​​Turkish reinforcements enter Jabal Al-Zawiya, and government forces reach Idlib

In light of the recent escalation in Idlib, the Turkish occupation brought military reinforcements to its sites in Jabal Al-Zawiya, in conjunction with the arrival of military build-up of government forces south of Idlib.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported, after midnight Thursday-Friday, that a military convoy of Turkish forces entered from the Kafr Lossin border crossing with the Iskenderun Brigade in northern Idlib, containing 4 tanks, 35 military vehicles, heading towards the Turkish forces’ sites in Jabal Al-Zawiya in the southern countryside of Idlib.

Coinciding with the continued arrival of new military crowds of government forces to the “Jabal Zawiya” axis south of Idlib.

With the continued flow of Turkish convoys, the number of vehicles that entered the Syrian territories since the start of the new ceasefire reached 5,240, in addition to thousands of soldiers.

This brings the number of trucks and military vehicles that have reached the “De-escalation” Zone during the period from February 2, 2020 until now, to more than 8,575 Turkish military trucks and vehicles that entered Syria, carrying tanks, troop carriers, armored vehicles and mobile “guard cabins”, bullet-proof and military radars, while the number of Turkish soldiers who deployed in Idlib and Aleppo during that period reached more than 11,500 thousand Turkish soldiers.
