International Coalition and SDF meet with tribal elders and dignitaries in eastern Deir Ezzor
SOHR sources have reported that the International Coalition and Syria Democratic Forces have met with tribal elders and dignitaries in Al-Mohassan village in Hajin town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
According to SOHR sources, the meeting centered on the deteriorating political and security situations in the region and strategies to reach appropriate solutions. In addition, the tribal elders and dignitaries demanded the International Coalition provide intelligence support to SDF, so that they could eliminate all terrorist cells in the area.
On August 5, SOHR activists said that several dignitaries and elders from the areas of Theban, Al-Shuhayl and the head of al-Ekaydat tribe met with U.S. representatives in Al-Omar oil field in Deir Ezzor countryside, to discuss the service situations and the developments in the region.
U.S. side vowed to continue investigations to uncover the perpetrators of the assassinations of tribal elders.
On the other hand, SDF established several checkpoints and boosted positions in all villages of the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, a few hours after the anti-SDF demonstrations in Al-Busayrah city, the towns of Al-Shuhayl, Theban and Al-Hawayij village. SDF imposed curfew in several areas under their control in eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
