Al-Raqqah | SDF arrest nearly ten smugglers, while smuggling 25 civilians from regime-controlled areas to SDF-held areas

SDF security group has arrested nine smugglers near Al-Fatsah village in eastern Al-Raqqah, while they were attempting to smuggle nearly 25 men and women from regime-controlled areas to SDF-held areas.

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources said that SDF raided the river crossing linking Theban town to areas where Iranian militias are stationed, west of the Euphrates River, in which they confiscated all ferries.

 

On July 24, Syria Democratic Forces installed observation outposts near river crossings between the two banks of the Euphrates River. It is not known yet if these posts were installed in this area to prevent the smuggling operations from Al-Shuhayl town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor to the regime-controlled town of Baqrus, or they had other tasks.
