Ras al-Ain | Civilian dies under torture in Turkish-backed military police prisons

SOHR activists say that a civilian has died under torture in the Turkish-backed military police prison in Ras al-Ain in the “Peace Spring” areas.

The Turkish-backed factions have not yet handed over his body to his relatives.

It is worth nothing that the victim is a civilian who does not belong to any military faction. He was arrested by military police a few days ago along with three members of his family.

On August 2, SOHR activists reported that a civilian has died under torture in Turkish-backed military police prisons today, in the “Peace Spring” areas.

According to Observatory sources, the civilian was summoned by Turkish-backed factions in Tal Abyad weeks ago, then he was arrested and asked to pay a large fine for his release, but he refused until he died today.

It is worth nothing that the victim was a former SDF member and retired from fighting during military operation “Peace Spring” and the entry of Turkish-backed factions into his area.

On July 30, reliable SOHR sources confirmed that Turkish-backed militiamen stormed “A’yiwah” village on the M4 highway in northern Al-Raqqah.

The militiamen arrested a young man and his little brother after they opened fire indiscriminately in the village, then they took over a car belonged to the young man’s family.

The young man was arrested for “belonging previously to Syria Democratic Forces”.
