Latakia city | Unidentified assailants assassinate Russian militiaman

SOHR activists say that a Russian militiaman was killed yesterday, after unknown assailants broke into his home in Al-Rmil Al-Janobi neighbourhood in Latakia city, stabbing him with more than 10 stab wounds all over the body, and stealing his money.

Hours earlier, residents of al-Rawda village in the eastern countryside of Homs have found the body of a man lying on the outskirts of the village.

The Syrian regime-controlled areas are experiencing a security chaos and a high rate of moral crimes in light of widespread poverty and increasing power of pro-regime militias.

On July 18, SOHR sources reported that a crime took place in the village of Al-Massoudia in Homs countryside, as an unidentified gunman on a motorcycle shot three youths dead and fled to an unknown destination.
