SDF violations | Members shoot at civilians returning to their villages in SDF-held areas via river crossings

SOHR sources say that SDF members opened fire on ferries at the river crossing linking the SDF-held town of Al-Shuhayl to the regime-controlled town of Baqras in eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, as residents of the areas under the control of SDF tried to return to their villages.

SDF continues to prevent residents from passing to date, strengthening security at river crossings in the area.

On the opposite side of the town of Granij, regime forces shot two civilians yesterday while swimming in the Euphrates River, injuring them.

On July 24, reliable sources told SOHR that Syria Democratic Forces installed observation outposts near river crossings between the two banks of the Euphrates River, in order to prevent the smuggling operations from Al-Shuhayl town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor to the regime-controlled town of Baqras.
