Security crackdown | SDF storms village east of Deir ez-Zor, arresting three former ISIS members

Reliable sources have told the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) launched a raid in the village of Al-Kassar, near the town of Al-Busayrah in eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour.

Three former ISIS fighters were arrested. The SDF’s security operation was backed by the International Coalition helicopters.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that several SDF members were injured, after unknown assailants throw a grenade at a vehicle carrying them in the village of Al-Sha’afa in the eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour.

On August 7, SOHR sources said that unidentified assailants targeted with mortar the headquarters of SDF in the town of Diban in the eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour. No casualties were reported.
