Syria-Turkey border | Russian forces conduct patrol alone in al-Hasakah countryside in north-eastern Syria

The Syrian Observatory has monitored a Russian patrol consisting of eight vehicles, coming from the city of Al-Qamishli and roaming villages in al-Qahtaniya countryside in Al-Hasakeh countryside, in the far north-east of Syria. The patrol stationed at the stadium of the village of Deir Ghosn in the same countryside.

On the 10th of this month, SOHR activists monitored Russian police and Turkish forces running a new joint patrol in the countryside of Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani) in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. Four Russian vehicles and four Turkish others toured the villages of Ghareeb, Alishar, Kurtik, Tal Hajib, Qabajib Saghir, Hulaqi, Kharbasan Tahtani, Qurrat Mugh. Two Russian helicopters were seen flying over the area, escorting the patrol.
