Skirmishes in NE Syria | US forces block Russian patrol, preventing it from reaching Coalition-affiliated agricultural airbase in Al-Malikiyah (Dayrik)

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that US forces prevented Russian forces form entering an agricultural airbase used by the International Coalition in Rubariyah village in Al-Malikiyah countryside (Dayrik), north-east of Al-Hasakah. After this incident, Russian forces headed to Sifan Dam in the west of Rubariyah village.

On July 29, SOHR activists said that US forces established a military checkpoint nearby Al-Malikiyah city (Dayrik) in north-eastern Al-Hasakah, in order to block Russian patrols in the area. This development came as a part of the growing tension between the two sides in SDF-controlled areas.
