Theft | “Self-Defense” member steals and slaughters 360 sheep in rural Al-Raqqa, and unknown assailants steal flock of sheep from displaced person in northern rural Deir ez-Zor

SOHR sources say that unknown assailants stole a flock of about 50 sheep belonging to a displaced person from Deir ez-Zor countryside, and lives in the village of Saad in rural town of Al-Sour, north of Deir ez-Zor, which is under the control of SDF.

On the other hand, a member of the “Self-Defense” seized 630 sheep from a shepherd in countryside of the city of Al-Tabaqa, which is under the control of SDF, slaughtering 100 of them and distributed them to military and security checkpoints and posts.

In the meantime, military and clan forces have chased the thief and the sheep owner was compensated for 45 million Syrian pounds, after returning the remaining flock during a reconciliation meeting between the parties.

The security chaos is on the rise in SDF-held areas, where residents complain of the spread of theft and banditry, as well as the resurgence of ISIS cells, targeting SDF by planting IEDs and attacking security posts in the area.
