Security campaign | Asayish Forces arrest cell working for Iranian-backed militias in western Al-Raqqah

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) launched a security campaign in Al-Tabaqah city in the western countryside of Al-Raqqah. The security forces arrested a cell of 18 people working for Iranian-backed militias, including at least one officer. The arrested people were taken to unknown destination.

On August 10, Syrian Observatory activists monitored the residents of Al-Tabaqah city in the western countryside of Al-Raqqah participating in a demonstration against the Syrian regime, Iranian forces and Iranian-backed militias. The demonstrations expressed their rejection to the presence of the Syrian regime and Iranian-backed militias in their areas and all of Syria’s geography.
