Al-Suwaidaa | Unknown individuals ask for large sums of money for releasing two regime soldiers kidnapped earlier this month

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that an armed group kidnapped two regime soldiers earlier this month, while they were heading to the military barracks of the “15th Division” in Al-Majdal village in the western countryside of Al-Suwaidaa.

According to SOHR sources, the fate of the two soldiers has remained unknown since they were disappeared on August 4, until the kidnappers contacted with the soldiers’ families last Friday. The kidnappers asked the soldiers’ relatives to pay a ransom of 100,000 USD in return for releasing them. The kidnappers also threatened to kill the two soldiers if the required ransom is not paid.
