Regime attacks | Forces renew shelling villages of rural Idlib, as reconnaissance drones fly over the area

SOHR activists say that regime forces renewed their ground bombardment on Idlib countryside, targeting with artillery the villages of Al-Fatira and Fleifel in southern Idlib countryside, coinciding with the flight of reconnaissance drones over the area.

Hours earlier, reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that factions operating under the banner of “Al-Fateh Al-Mubin” operations room shot down a reconnaissance drone, believed to be Russian, while flying this morning over Hirsh Bayanin in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib.

SOHR activists also monitored another reconnaissance drone crash in Al-Haddadah area in Jabal Al-Akrad, north of Latakia, due to technical malfunctions.

In the meantime, regime forces have continued rocket attacks on towns and villages in Jabal Al-Zawiyah, while areas in Jabal Al-Akrad in northern Latakia came under regime bombardment.

SOHR sources had reported rocket attacks by regime forces in the early hours of Sunday morning, targeting places in Al-Fterah, Kansafrah, Sfuhel, Fulayfel, Al-Hallouba in the southern countryside of Idlib, the villages of Tadil and Al-Qasr in the western countryside of Aleppo, and Al-Ankawy frontlines in Sahl Al-Ghab in north-western Hama.
