Rising tension | US aircraft strike regime checkpoint south of Al-Qamishly airbase, leaving many casualties

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that regime checkpoint blocked a US military column in Tal Al-Zahab village, south of Al-Qamishly airbase in Al-Hasakah countryside, which evolved to altercation between both sides.

Aircraft affiliated to the International Coalition came later and struck the checkpoint, leaving many casualties among regime soldiers stationed at the checkpoint.

On July 2, SOHR sources said that a number of al-Dardara residents and members of regime forces blocked US armored vehicles at al-Dardara Bridge in the western countryside of Tal Tamer, preventing it from passing.

Meanwhile, a patrol of Russian forces uselessly intervened to defuse the dispute between US forces on one hand, and residents and regime forces on the other. The US patrol was forced to retreat and return from another road.
