IED attack | Unidentified assailants target regime officer of Air-Force Intelligence branch in Daraa countryside

Daraa Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activists say that unknown assailants targeted with an IED regime officer of Air-Force Intelligence branch, at the “agricultural well” located near a security checkpoint on the outskirts of the town of al-Karak Al-Sharqi in Daraa countryside, causing only material damage.

In the meantime, regime forces at the security checkpoint were put on high alert, searching for other improvised explosive devices near the site.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from past June to date, to more than 619 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 411 persons, 109 of whom are civilians, including 12 women and 12 children, in addition to 187 regime soldiers, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

73 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 23 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to 19 members of so-called “Fifth Corps”.
