Family dispute | Civilian killed in indiscriminate gunfire in Deir ez-Zor countryside

Deir ez-Zor province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activists say that a civilian was killed today in an indiscriminate gunfire, as a result of armed clashes between two families in the village of Al-Zar in rural Deir al-Zour, following a dispute over a plot of land. Machine guns and RBGs were used during the clashes.

In the meantime, SDF members opened fire from their positions at the village’s irrigation canal on the houses, bringing in military reinforcement to their military posts in and around the village.

Yesterday, an IED went off in a vehicle of Syria Democratic Forces while traveling on the main road in Al-Sha’faa city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. The explosion injured four SDF fighters, two of whom sustained serious injuries.

SOHR sources reported earlier that unknown gunmen targeted with an IED a car carrying the official of agricultural bureau in “Deir Ezzor Civil Council” of the “Autonomous Administration”. The explosion took place on the road between Al-Kasrah and Abu Khashab in Deir Ezzor countryside. No casualties were reported.
