Security vacuum | Unknown assailants attack regime forces and SDF on Euphrates River’s banks in rural Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Unknown gunmen attacked, with RPGs, regime posts in Bakrus town in Deir Ezzor countryside on the Euphrates River’s bank in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

 

Similarly, unknown gunmen attacked post of Syria Democratic Forces on the opposite bank, but no casualties have been reported.

 

On August 14, SOHR sources said that SDF members stationed on the Euphrates River’s eastern bank in Al-Busayrah city and Abreeha village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor opened fire with machine guns, on regime positions Salou and Zabari villages on the opposite bank of the river. No casualties were reported.

 

Syrian Observatory sources had also reported an exchange of fire between SDF members stationed on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, west of Al-Tayyanah town in the east of Deir Ezzor, and regime forces on the opposite bank. No casualties were reported.
