Blasts in rebel-held areas | Car bomb explodes at checkpoint in rural Tal Abyad, leaving many casualties

Syrian Observatory activists have reported hearing a loud explosion in Tal Abyad countryside, which is under the control of Turkish forces and their proxies in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah. According to SOHR sources, the explosion was caused by the detonation of a car bomb at Sluk-Mabroukah checkpoint which is affiliated to Turkish-backed factions. SOHR initial reports confirm that four members of the checkpoint were killed, while others were injured, including civilians.

On August 14, SOHR sources reported a landmine explosion in a group of Turkish-backed militiamen, while being in a farm in Tal Tamr countryside in “Peace Spring” areas in Al-Hasakah. The explosion killed two militiamen and injured four others.
