For ransom | Turkish-backed factions arrest ten civilians from Afrin

Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Turkish-backed “Northern Hawks brigade” launched yesterday a large-scale arrest campaign in the village of Kamrok in Sharra district of Afrin countryside, arresting ten civilians from Afrin, for “previously belonging” to the “Self-Administration.”

According to Syrian Observatory sources, Turkish-backed factions released one of the detainees after paying a ransom, while the rest were transferred to military police.

Turkish-backed factions are fabricating charges against the people for ransom.

Yesterday, SOHR sources said that gunmen, believed to be Turkish-backed military police, arrested three Kurdish civilians of the same family in the village of Shekhotka, which belongs to Mabatli district in Afrin countryside, and took them to an unknown destination.

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that gunmen of “Liwaa Al-Waqqas” operating under the banner of the Turkish-backed “National Army” launched security campaign in Hikajiyah village of Sheikh Hadid district in Afrin countryside. The Turkish-backed militiamen arrested five civilians, including tow women, for unknown reasons and took them to unknown destination.
