Coronavirus | First infected case died in Idlib countryside, and health authorities quarantine “Al-Quds” hospital in al-Dana town

SOHR sources say that an elderly woman infected with the coronavirus has died in al-Dana town in Idlib countryside, the first coronavirus fatality in north-western Syria.

On the other hand, the health authorities have quarantined the staff of al-Quds Hospital in Al-Dana city in Idlib countryside, upon the suspicion of several coronavirus cases.

According to Observatory statistics, the number of confirmed cases, since July 9 to date, rose to 51, including two doctors were residing in Turkey.

The cases are broken down by region as follows: 22 cases, including medical staff in HTS-held areas in Idlib, parts of Aleppo, Hama and Latakia, and 27 cases in the areas controlled by Turkish-backed factions, north of Aleppo.

While recovery cases in north-western Syria have risen to 38.
