SDF Member Assassinated in Deir ez-Zor
ERBIL – A member of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) was assassinated on Wednesday by unidentified gunmen in Syria’s eastern province of Deir ez-Zor.
A couple of armed men wearing face masks and riding a motorbike opened fire at the SDF member in Busayrah city of Deir ez-Zor province where two civilians, one of whom was a child, were also wounded in the attack, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.
Earlier in the morning, a sound bomb explosion was reported in the same city which resulted in material damages, according to the Britain-based monitoring group.
