Preparations for running new joint patrol with the Russians | Turkish forces deploy along M4 highway

SOHR sources have monitored Turkish forces deployed along Latakia-Aleppo international highway (M4), near Ariha city in the southern countryside of Idlib, amid unconfirmed reports suggest that a joint patrol between Russian and Turkish forces will be run on the M4 highway.

On August 17, SOHR activists monitored Russian and Turkish forces running a new patrol on Aleppo-Latakia international highway (M4). Unlike the previous patrols, this patrol set off from Ain Hour village in the northern countryside of Latakia to Tarnabeh village in the eastern countryside of Idlib. According to SOHR sources, a Turkish vehicle was attacked. The attack is believed to be carried out by RPGs, but no casualties were reported.
